Forest Skies Community Giving
The cost of living crisis means that everyone is feeling the pinch this winter. We need your help to make a difference to the people of our community.
Beginning on Monday 21st of November 2022 up until the Christmas holidays, The Forest Skies Federation will be taking donations of food:
- Tinned foods
- Dried goods
- Frozen goods
- Biscuits
- Bread
- Long life Milk
- Christmas chocolates
All of which can then be made into food parcels and handed back out to members of our community over the Christmas period. Please hand in any donations to Birchwood Junior School as there will be a 'drop bin' in the foyer. Together with donations from local charities and yourself we are hoping this might be something we can set up permanently. The food parcels will be available from any of our three sites during the last week of term.
We will also be setting up a warm rail for the children of Birchwood, this again will be situated at the Junior School. If you have any coats/boots/school shoes/scarves/hats/gloves in good condition that someone could make use of please hand them in to any of the school offices. We can then arrange for them to be transferred to the Junior School. Once we have received sufficient donations we will notify families at all schools by Parentmail then you will be able to come and choose what you need.
Please spread the word to your friends and families – hopefully together we can make a difference and help the people of our community. Please note that any donations will be greatly appreciated but not expected.
Many thanks,
Forest Skies Federation
